Application
Yttrium can be used as additive in magnesium alloy. Magnesium yttrium alloy has low specific gravity (no more than 1.9g / cm3) and high strength, so it is widely used in aerospace industry to improve the heat resistance, corrosion resistance and high temperature strength of magnesium alloy.
