Application
The Copper-Cobalt master alloys are mainly used in the production of precipitation hardening CuCoBe alloys, which combine excellent electrical and thermal conductivity.

These are used, for example, in the manufacturing of resistance welding electrodes. The master alloy dissolves much more easily into the molten copper than pure Co.
CuCo is also used in cobalt based super alloys to deoxidize the melt and to improve their strength at elevated temperatures. Furthermore, CuCo finds application in the production of cobalt containing aluminium bronzes.
