The main application of Scandium by weight is in Scandium-Aluminium alloys for minor aerospace industry components. Dentists use Erbium, Chromium: Yttrium-Scandium-Gallium
Garnet (Er,Cr:YSGG) lasers for cavity preparation and in endodontics.
